Re: If Andy Johns really recorded the Platinum Samples library ...

Jord, They do NOT show up without the ! or play if I map the side stick to a note on any of my AJ snares. I had to use a snare sample from another drum piece to get the side stick to play and as a result, it doesn't really sound like it is from the same snare (minor issue for only I can tell when co...

Re: Percussion expansion kit questions

Yes, exactly... I too was confused for awhile until I discovered this as well. It would be good if FXP did a little fix to this in the future.

Re: Feature Requests

PITCH change without SAMPLE LENGTH change With all the advances in audio processing in the last few years, wouldn't it be nice if you could change the pitch of the kit piece and the length of the sample would stay the same. I notice this as a problem when i go to tune a kit piece up or down and the ...

Re: If Andy Johns really recorded the Platinum Samples library ...

I thought the squeaky kick pedal was quite funny... but speaking of the AJF stuff, these kits are simply stunning. It is like going back in time to track drums with me. Just one thing, I know that AJF didn't record a lot of articulations on the kit pieces but NO side stick on any of the snares is a ...

Re: Installing expansion packs

Yes, there is both an AUDIO and DATA folder within BFD. I moved the folders around after writing this for I had a thought. I installed all the expansion packs to the same folder, i.e., F:/BFD... and on second thought, had the idea of creating and moving each expansion pack to its own folder within B...

Installing expansion packs

Is there some type of trick to installing the expansion packs (BFD 2 stuff) so BFD 3 can use the kit pieces? I have fully installed BFD 3 onto its own DRIVE (my Drive E:) I have installed the expansion packs onto its own DRIVER as well (My Drive F) The folder to which I installed all my expansion pa...

Re Install

Hi folks, I have a new WIN PC build for my DAW. I have downloaded and installed BFD3 and the included kit piece samples. I have purchased quite a few of the add on packs years ago and I see them in my account with the ability to download them. My question is: Can I use the installer app to download ...

Expansion Packs for BFD3

I think that the new BFD engine is the best drum VSTi that exists and I truly love some of the new kits sampled with the added articulations. My question is: Are there plans from FXP to release expansion kits specifically designed for BFD3? I do have most of the FX expansion kits for BFD2 but miss t...

In KONTAKT you can map each articulation to a NOTE (lay them out by velocity, up to 128 velocities per articulation), then use your E DRUM to trigger which articulation gets trigger but what type of drum hit on the e drum. A few BFD 3PLs also offer their kits in KONTAKT format. I am not an E DRUMMER...

Why not just use KONTAKT and lay your samples out to whatever DRUM MAP note/articulation scheme you need?

SONAR PRV here as well. Over the years, you get pretty good at creating grooves tied to a time line. Sometimes, though I do use a keyboard controller for some of the fills that are syncopated. I can hear them and feel them but trying to lay them out in PRV sometimes isn't as easy as it seems.

I am sorry and appreciate the feedback but I wasn't clear enough I guess.... what I am requesting is that some of the older BFD2 kits be re-released or re-sampled with the added articulations. I was a real fan of OWD because of the added articulations and simply fell in love with BFD3 because they a...

BFD3 Appreciation

Now that I have been using BFD3 for hours on a project, i just want to say THANK YOU to the creators and especially all the different articulations on the drum hits. My drum tracks now sound more like a LIVE drummer than ever..... THANKS Jim PS - now I just want some different kit pieces re sampled ...

I always wanted the TOM attics as well... one of the things that prevented me from using BFD2 for project work. In as much as I loved most of the features of BFD2, this one thing made BFD2 a novelty in my tool chest. But, as noted, BFD3 new samples provide this feature (quite well, I might add), the...

BFD3 is Da Bomb

I just want to say that after playing around and getting to know my way around BFD3, I started a new project and loaded in one of the vintage Gretsch kits... using all the individual outputs into SONAR X3 for total control of the mixing and I will say that this is by far, the best drum VST and kit s...
