Problem linking hit types

I haven't tried this in a while and hope I'm doing something wrong. On page 2 of the advanced settings in the key 2 column, I'm attempting to link the side stick (C#) to the hit (D). It's not working. Am I missing something? A setting somewhere else maybe? Might this be a known issue with 1.5 on OS ...

Seems the static bursts I was experiencing were due to the cheap external drive enclusures I was using. Upgraded to Glyph drives and everything is running smoother than ever.

Pro Tools Error -38

Anyone receiving this error?

I'm asking here as I've come across 2 people receiving this error and both were using BFD.

BFD2 actually has a lot more options to tweak the engine, so you may be ok. Except I don't want to buy a product with a bunch of features I have to disable. A Core 2 Duo, whilst not fast by today's standards, is good enough to run BFD2. The problem lies in what else you will be doing at the time. I...

Considering BFD2, but have questions & concerns

Anyone working with a similar set up as mine? iMac 3.06Hz Core 2 Duo, Pro Tools, etc. My main concern is my CPU not being able ot handle BFD2. I often get loud static burst when using BFD1.5. I rarely had CPU speed/memory issues on a much older Mac G4. I know I don't have the latest, fastest CPU, bu...

The pops and static are probably caused by disk streaming problems, meaning that BFD cannot stream the audio from the disk fast enough to play it back. Try reducing your soundcards buffer size (Setup menu / Playback Engine) to see if they go away. I'm still having this problem, even when adjusting ...

Nice!

All 8 Bit Kit? Can you share the specifics? You got a very organic sound going.

Thanks for the response Rory! I did install the 1.5.50.1 update. The Core Audio file was installed on my system drive, but I don't have the ReWire or Aplet files. I haven't recorded music in about 2 years, so I don't recall if I was using them, but I'd like to install them just in case. I have the s...

Installation Questions

Due to a move & house rehab, I'm just now getting back into recording after 2 years. Any way... I'm on a different CPU than I was using the last time. I have my sounds on a separate drive, connected to the new CPU. But the actual program, maybe plugins & presets, were on my master drive on m...
