Re: Geist2 Public Beta - 2.1.2.9

Great news!! Too much time passes between updates, Geist deserves better - hope this is a regular thing going forward :)

Re: Disappointed by Geist 2

I haven't spent enough time with G2 yet, however I used it for a first proper run out in a commercial job last week and I have to say it was brilliant ! First time I've thought I've got a genuine software alternative to my MPC4000. Only issue I had was some intermittent problem where in song mode Ge...

Re: The first user Geist 2 thread.

For £69 inc two free expander packs it's a great deal in my opinion. You can run it on the same machine as Geist 1, i.e. it won't overwrite it. Big screen is great. It's more complex in some ways than 1 but you don't have to go there if you don't want to yet (transmod particularly). Other things are...

Brilliant! Well done FXpansion, so pleased to see Geist supported and re-imagined for the future as v2 :)

I'm not holding my breath, but thanks for giving us some info :D
Personally I'm not after a massive update, a larger screen version of what we have, with much improved browser window is what I want.
I look forward to any updates.

Thanks, yes I did miss it, I don't frequent that forum.
Well it's good to see that it's in progress, I hope you can get it out soon, is there an ETA?

Its's not exactly Maschine round here is it - NI are doing the simple things right by releasing regular updates for bug fixes, and regular updates for feature enhancement. About a year ago FX said an update was on the way...

I would really love to commit to Geist as my only sequencing sampler. The competitors have issues: Maschine - superb updates and response to feature requests, but at its root the sampler is not featured enough. Battery - has the sampler features that Maschine is crying out for but it has no in-built...

Geist update please?

FXpansion - we have had a couple of 'screengrabs' and some 'smileys' over the last few months... but what we really want to know is when a major update is coming? I'm don't want any more sales and cheap offers to get Tremor, etc.! What I and many others would like is an update that covers at least s...

Great software, but the number one thing they need to sort in my opinion is being able to view the plug-in in a bigger window, so that the file browsing is improved - at the moment the file browsing is crazy. Small bugs always need ironed out, and audio drag and drop would be great (this is becoming...

I've been well and truly burned with MOTU BPM, that software is d e a d... I'm starting to get the same feeling with Geist... I love it but I'm not seeing the willingness to improve it. I might just jack it in and go with Maschine, at least they seem interested!? Are you still interested FXPansion?!...

i agree with scrappy and stoutlyric - if these filters are going to stay then we need some more options in the layers palette. the workarounds suggested are not really helpful when what we are talking about is balancing up sample layers.

hi paul
thanks for you reply, i'm sure you've studied way more filters than me and if this is the way you want it to sound then fair enough, its your product after all :)
personally i think the high frequency roll off is unnecessarily severe but i will take the workaround advice.
cheers
M
