Re: FXpansion - Anybody Home?

Especially phpbb board software is known for having serious issues with spam bots. That there are countless spam messages with chinese symbols is getting out of hand and the security measures that were applied seem to have absolutely no effect. I find it infuriating that a company that i once truste...

DCAM VCA Compressor within BFD3 exlusive?

so since the DCAM VCA compressor was introduced in BFD3 i wonder if FXpansion ever plans on including it to the DCAM Dynamics package. As far as i can tell its BFD3 only and there is no plugin version of it. If you would make this available in the DCAM Package as a plugin i would totally buy the DCA...

Re: Where is my BFD3 UPGRADE?

Sorry to hear that.

Unfortunately the roli support form appears to be the only way to contact FXpansion. Also here you barely see an fxpansion employee.
I hope this will get sorted or the package will arrive in the meantime.

best of luck

Re: Upgrading from 2 to 3.

to 1. I also disliked the new GUI at first but i quickly got used to it and now find it better than the old one because it has a better workflow and can be scaled horizontally. But if graphics is what you care most about than you shouldn't upgrade because it will not bring you any benefit. to...

Re: creating tablas from samples

Hi. It actually looks correct and i am impressed you pulled this of with my rather vague discription  . did you try to rescan the database in BFD3 for this specific folder of your kit piece?. Are the folders for the other articulation correctly named like you named them in the xml files?. A...

Re: creating tablas from samples

so you have only one hit per articulation? If so it would be the easiest to spread these over different Kit piece slots. This allows you to assign a different note to each articulation easily at full velocity range for each. What range control are you actually talking about?. Even though custom kit ...

Re: BFD2 sounds have very loud ambience

Yes the BFD2 Stock Library AKA London Session is very loud. I usually use the trim on every kit piece and reduce it by 7 db. than you can apply proper gain staging. The Ambience is also very huge, very wet and the stereowidth tends to be over the top as well especially for the cymbals.. . I usually ...

Re: Ride cymbal: bell cuts off bow, bow cuts off bell

It may be that the gag blur times are set too low in the inclinations for the cymbals. Select the ride and go to the "model" tab. Enact gag reaction and set base and range to its greatest esteem. Dissertation Writing Services Does it change the conduct? On the off chance that it does than...

Re: Ride cymbal: bell cuts off bow, bow cuts off bell

Hello there, Does it choke everythime? It might be that the choke fade times are set too low in the preferences for the cymbals. Select the ride and go to the "model" tab. Activate choke response and set base and range to its maximum value. Does it change the behaviour? If it does than try...

Re: vintage recording techniques problem!

But you don't necessarily have to make a compromise in detail level. If you use BFD3 in standalone your HDD/SSD might handle the load with lower buffers just fine. You just have to try it instead of going into denial without adressing the issue. And honestly. I am a BFD user for many years now and h...

Re: vintage recording techniques problem!

There is only so many parameters that you can change in BFD. . Exactly. And some of these are the Streaming and RAM Buffers BFD3 will use to preload and stream the samples. You also can reduce the number of velocity levels and/or switch to 16bit mode to ease up RAM consumption. 4GB is rather low fo...

Re: vintage recording techniques problem!

How much RAM do you have? Even though it comes with 29 Mic channels i wouldn't expect it do go over 4 GB at a resonable RAM and Streaming buffer Setting. Try to reduce the RAM and Streaming buffer settings both to 8k and see what happens. 4GB Ram is a rather low amount when you also have your DAW op...

Re: Using BFD groove engine to emulate clock errors

I don't think the humanising gives different groove data to specific kit types. I think its just a randomisation of time and velocity. If this is the case i don't think its elegant to use the Groove Editor in BFD3 to trigger Groove Agent anywhays exept you like working with the BFD3 Editor instead o...

Groove Engine and Velocity Curve Settings in Key Map

Hi everyone, i started to create my own groove palette. I actually never really worked with the groove editor in BFD3 as i do everything in Cubase so far. Now i wanted to make my own BFD3 Preset with my Kit the mixer Settings and a groove palette. So far so good. For making the palette i recorded my...
