Re: BFD3 Metadata Editor.

hi all, It was created by a member aburakov and the guys at fxpansion had said they would like to licence it (or something) to run within BFD3 in the same way the BFDLAC tool does so someday we should see it built in perhaps? i don't recall any such thing ever happening. i certainly didn't receive a...

another version released, and the issue still isn't fixed. to make sure, just tried again to do an offline bounce with and without offline mode, same thing. however, it seems that i have found the reason why some presets do chokes while some don't. if i disable Tom Resonance on least some drums, cho...

Granted, i never looked at AudioUnit, so maybe it works differsntly from VST. But for VST, everything i said, holds. You were a developer - fine, look at VST spec. It's underdocumented, but should give you an idea of how things work in VST-land. There are no such "flags" there - the host e...

Again, assertions, not refutations - seems you're not big on providing anything to back up your claims. You think i don't have any idea what i'm talking about - fine. Ask anyone who has ever developed a VST plugin or a VST host - you'll get the same answers as you got from me. Or, alternatively, you...

This is your undoing and shows how much you don't understand: actually this still shows how much you don't understand. Sorry, but offline rendering is not real-time. Aside from any external processing, such as UAD cards or a Liquix Mix/Channel, the rendering processing is more often then not 2.5 fa...

No, I understand very well how everything works. I have for the last couple of decades. It is you that seems to be confused here. nope, it's still the other way around. It is well known that the host would inform all other plug-ins that it is performing and offline bound. However, this is not a mat...

You can be as long winded as you want about this. i don't want to, but you're clearly misunderstanding how the whole thing works, and so i have to explain it to you. If you are using offline mode in real time, no flags are being received by the system from BFD to wait and doesn't care if larger chu...

Not quite. You will experience cut-offs in offline mode. Slower systems will crackle due to resourcing issues. that's the point - i will, but i shouldn't, because apparently offline mode doesn't work the way it is supposed to work (or at least the way it is described in the manual). And yes, offlin...

Are you doing an non-realtime bounce in your DAW? That's what offline mode is for. no, but that's irrelevant (although my mixdowns indeed still have the cymbal cutoff, so my problem does apply to offline, non-realtime mixdown as well). Otherwise, you will be maxing out resources and experience cut-...

standard SATAIII connection. it's not a particularly fast drive (WD caviar green), but that shouldn't matter in offline mode if it works the way it is described.

also yes, everything is x64, everything is maxed out.

well, that means offline mode needs fixing by FXpansion, because it clearly doesn't work the way it should.

(btw i don't have BFD3 on my system drive - my system drive is an SSD while i also have a 2TB storage drive)

everything in BFD3 is maxed out, and no, the drive isn't "dedicated for BFD3" but this shouldn't be a problem in offline mode because BFD3 should take whatever time necessary to play the full sounds (that's what offline mode is for). this is proven by lowering all settings to their mininum...

i am experiencing the same thing and i'm on windows. basically, i have thrash-esque drum track with lots of kick and low toms (think beginning of Metallica - Whiplash), and by the end of first bar my cymbal chokes. resources are not a problem since i'm on i7-3770K with 32GB RAM. the issue seems to b...
