Re: Strobe2 has expired

wtf… I have this happening with a normal version… I paid for this, why is it telling me it's expired?

Hi, which version of Strobe2 is this occurring with? Please try contacting our tech support with full details of your system and Strobe2 version, and we'll be able to take a closer look.

Re: Strobe 2.3 Release Notes?

just wanna update that the newer versions *do not* work with 10.8.5 :( Good to know there'll be a more efficient version waiting for me whenever I upgrade though. ;) What kind of performance improvements are there with the newer versions? I see the newest strobe is half the size of the one I'm curre...

Re: Strobe 2.3 Release Notes?

It may still work on 10.8, it's just unsupported: we can only realistically test against two or three versions of each OS. Same goes for Windows 7. Best, Angus. oh neat - ok i'll give it a try in the next couple days when i next get a chance to produce music. i'll report back here. Any chance you g...

Strobe 2.3 Release Notes?

I can't find any release notes for Strobe 2.3. Also kind of bummed that the tech requirements changed, as I'm running on Mac OS 10.8 =/ Oh well…

Re: What's going on?

Hope so, Lawrence. Currently things are not looking that good. Let's hope once things settle this powerful tool will get some love. I've given up on music tech because even a Push, Live, Geist2 injection couldn't save this hobby. Just goes to show it's not about what you've got but what you (want t...

Re: What's going on?

Thanks so much Konfront - yeah that's the big issue for me: I primarily want this as a live performance tool, and if it isn't stable enough to be used as such - then that's definitely a waste of money for me. It's a shame though - I find Battery (the current sampler that I use) to be limited in term...

Re: FXpansion joins ROLI

I do not own other producs from Fxpansion but with Dcam Synth Squad they where supper slow with bug fixes. The major bugs where not fixed for years. And their Fusor wich in Dcam Synth Squad does not work at 192Khz sample rate. And synth Dcam Synth Squade is discontinued now they have excuse to not ...

Re: Disappointed by Geist 2

Sticking to Geist 1. If I were a conspiracy theorist I could think development has been stalled by this takeover. Regardless it doesn't matter the reason, my excitement has gone...too many issues and feels like abandonware now. I've been pretty upbeat and patient so far and have tried to be helpful...

Re: What's going on?

@everybody who's been asking for bug fixes / updates - has FXPansion delivered at all? I'm in the market for a software drum sampler for both live performance + studio production, and as a fan of Strobe 2 decided to look into Geist 2. Was pretty sold on it while looking through features, until I cam...

Re: FXpansion joins ROLI

Hmmm interesting... I wish the seaboard was cheaper. I'd have one if it was. If you guys integrate Strobe (AKA the synth I pretty much exclusively use) with the seaboard in an even awesomer way than it is currently further down the line... I may just have to bite the bullet and get one.

Re: Disabling filter drive gain compensation?

@Drew - hmmm good suggestion. Didn't realize this was a possibility. :) Cool will look into this for my performance setup! So long as I can control a drive effect like this with a knob on my keyboard, this should be a decent alternative.

Re:

Hi Angus, Does this: Sure - changes as follows: ** QuickPresets can now be selected from CC #1 as well as CC #0 mean that switching the QuickPreset parameters can now be controlled by a controller? As in I can switch my patch on the fly without having to use the interface? Cheers, and thanks for you...

Disabling filter drive gain compensation?

Hi, I just started using Strobe 2, and quickly noticed the lack of gain with the filter drive. Looking at the manual shows that there is gain compensation happening in this newer version of Strobe. Is there any way to disable this feature? I quite enjoyed overdriving my filter with the original Stro...

Whoooaaa! just discovered that Strobe 2 has been announced!! really stoked about it. Addresses a lot of wishes that I had (namely the 8 switchable patches & separating subs on detuning). Question about the CPU improvements - if I were to install Strobe 2 on the same system where I have Strobe 1,...
