Re: E-Kit issue - looking for idea/solution

Depends what you mapped. If anything, it just sounds like a case of an inadvertently mapped incorrect MIDI note. One way to see if things are coinciding is to open the MIDI monitor to see what you are sending from your controller. You can also use the learn as well as follow notes features to ensure...

Re: E-Kit issue - looking for idea/solution

You're using a keymap that's different than what your kit is outputting. If there isn't a keymap for your eKit, then you can you take an existing keymap and modify it, or you can modify the MIDI out on your drum brain to match the keymap you are using. I'd recommend the former, however.

Re: BFD3 skipping excluded folder

Don't put anything into the core library as that might aggravate things. Did you check your external drive to ensure that it the permissions are being ignored? If you have tried running a scan on the drive, I would suggest to go into your application support folder and delete the BFD databases and r...

Re: BFD3 v3.3.0.43 now available

For those on a Mac, I've usually found that deleting the .authrequest and .auth files in the ~/Library/Application Support/fxpansion/ folder and re-authorizing fixes the "licence corrupt" issue.

Re: BFD 3 not seeing core library

Let's see the audio directory of one of the kit pieces (eg., one of the snare articulations). Something tells me there may be a clue there.

Re: BFD 3 not seeing core library

Go to the content scanner and check to see that the Core Library folder is listed in there. If it is not, then manually add the folder, or do a drive search. Otherwise, have it do a full rescan.

Re: Export creates audio files that are messed up

Exporting in 96K will be very processor intensive, due to cross sampling from 44K, as well as disk traffic intensive, thus a double whammy. Are you exporting your drums to a separate drive?

Re: How do I download the Joe Barresi pack

https://www.platinumsamples.com/FAQ.php#FAQ10 Basically the answer, as Steve put it, is yes. PS and FXp are two different companies and their policies are separate and the FXp has no ownership or control over the Joe Barresi pack. However, Rail is a frequent contributor to the board, so he may have...

Re: moving BFD3 to external ssd from Mac

All you need to do is drag your core library from where you installed it to your SSD drive and delete the old library. Go to the content scanner in BFD and scan the SSD drive to add your relocated library.

Re: Feature Requests

Here is one dead simple but seemse no one mentioned it. Please for godsake make snare hit higher volume to match rimshot which sound more explosive and at least for 40% luder making it extremely hard for editing. and snare hit at 127 sounding very unfocused like it need more exitment compare to rim...

Re: Loop Loft Midi packs

There should be no need to make a new keymap. It is more than likely that the Loop Loft Midi packs are in General MIDI format, to which you can use the GM keymap, or even the BFD2 keymap.

Re: Logic X 10.4.3 crashed validation

Ahhh... you forgot to mention the upgrade to Mojave. :D

Mojave crashed LOTS of AU of validations of mine (a lot of them UA). I trashed ALL caches and prefs and everything worked as it should (plus a nice little speed boost from my Mac).

Re: how to output BFD3 to a single DAW track

Make sure you are instantiating a multi-output version of BFD within your DAW. From there, you would route your mixer channel outputs to the desired outputs that are corresponding to your input, or aux, channels within your instantiated BFD instrument tracks in your DAW.
