Tried this out with both audio and instrument tracks. While I still have no success with the built in MIDI Learn function, I CAN successfully assign via Logic's controller assignment window.

While it would be easier if the MIDI Learn worked, this is not too bad.

Thanks for investigating.

No worries, thanks for the quick response.

Interesting... I am pretty sure that I have this problem on an instrument channel - I will double check that later.

Thanks,

Create a channel with some effect insert. Open Logic's controller assignments window. Put it in learn mode. Click a control in the effect. The name of that control will appear in the controller assignments window. Then I move a knob or slider on my Oxygen49. That registers in the controller assignme...

Hi,

No, I can definitely send MIDI to other insert effects. I tried both Logic effects and some Waves effects.

Only the Fxpansion ones do not work (Etch and Bloom).

Thx.

MIDI learn issue

Using an Oxygen49 controller in Logic 9. I can control other effects parameters (like Waves) fine. I can control Tremor and DCAM Synth parameters fine. However, I cannot control Fxpansion effects (like Bloom and Etch parameters). Does not work if I try the MIDI learn function within, or if I assign ...

latency issue in logic?

I send a drum mix to a Bus in Logic. Bus is duplicated. If I put one of the DCAM dynamics processors on one of these, I hear a phasing sound, as if it is delayed ever so slightly. Other plug in compressors do not exhibit this behavior.

Normal?

Thanks.

Hi, It's not a filter plugin, it's a synth with an audio input. As such you need to gate the Amp envelope with MIDI input so the VCA opens. Simply create a long MIDI note and send it to the plugin. In Logic, how would I create a MIDI note to send to DCAM on an audio track? I'm sure it's easy enough...

using DCAM as a channel insert

Are there any guidelines out there explaining how to do this? I think I am missing something really basic. When I insert, I get no sound unless I hold a key down in the DCAM GUI with the mouse. I found the "hold" option, but even then it doesn't stay held so when I restart a song, it's gon...

I have this and the Gen16 K cymbals pack. Here's what I can tell you:

They sound excellent.
There is much less room ambience on these compared with the stock BFD2 sounds.
BFD2 and BFD Eco DV can indeed co-exist.

Well, it seems that switching the MIDI cable may have solved this. I'll have to bang on it some more to be sure but so far so good.

V-drums BFD2 problem

Using new Roland TD-4 with BFD for the first time. Most everything works well, except I am getting frequent hits that do not trigger BFD (but are registering on the TD-4). I hit my snare 4 times in a row and the 4th time did not trigger BFD. Here's what the MIDI log shows: Note on [038 / D 1] Vel [1...

I would like to confirm a couple of things regarding using this to control BFD2. 1) The MIDI out of the Roland will send variable HiHat data to BFD2 2) The 2/3 zone pads will send out separate note numbers for each zone over MIDI to BFD2 I suspect that these things are both true, but would like some...

Went to play these kits at the local shop. I must say, I did not like the feel of the Alesis stuff AT ALL.

So, I will modify my original question to - how does the Roland TD-4KX2 kit work as a BFD2 controller?

Thanks....
