Latin Jazz

Hi there,

Just cooked that song. It's called "Minha Bossa Torta" which means "my weird bossa".

Minha_Bossa_Torta

Hope you will enjoy that one as much as I had fun doing it. BFD2 does the job.

Cheers

Paeonia - Jazz Quartet with BFD2 brushes

Hi there, It's is just out from my studio. Bruno Lucenti, a good friend of mine, and a great pianist at the same time, has joined me. Paeonia BFD2 does the job at the drums, with brushes. Upright bass is the amazing Trilian (spectrasonics) VST. I hope you will enjoy as much as I enjoyed doing this o...

Dear John - Jazz guitar - BFD2 brushes and rods

Hi all,

This tune is truly dediacted to John Abercombie. A master who is, along with John Scofield, my major inspiration.

Dear_John.

BFD2 does the job, brushes + rods on the ride cymbal over the bride.

Hope you will enjoy.

Cheers

New bossa cover - BFD2 brushes

Hi there,

It's here :
Ela vai pro mar

Originally written by Celso Fonseca & Ronaldo Bastos.

I'm singing/playing all tracks, except drums which are programmed with BFD2 and, most of all, the soooooo sweet flugelhorn played by my good friend René.

Enjoy !

Cheers

Blues for Noon

Hi there, Allright, allright, it's not a blues, I know. But still, there is little bit of blue in it. It's here : Blues for Noon Drum track based on Peter Erskine samples, from Platinium Samples. Upright bass sound from the very good Manytone Upright Bass. Theme/solo played on my Ibanez AS200. Compi...

Malibu or L.A. ?

Hi there,

Well, both....Here it is: it's entitled Malibu, in reference to a very good friend whose artist name is Malibu, but it is certainly some sort of Californian jazz.

MALIBU

BFD2 does the job, as usual.

Cheers

Hi, As for the construction of this track, the drum is based on the "Stanton Moore" loops, available at Platinum Samples. The upright bass VST is the very good "Manytone Upright Bass". The guitar was played live. I used my Ibanez AS 200 (same guitar as John Scofield). The guitar ...

Hi Rob,

Solved ! I should have known. It came from inappropriate reverb parameters on the snare which generated this choppy echo. What is strange is that I don't recall myself changing these parameters, but anyway, it' s solved.

Thanks

Problem with bouncing echo on snare hits [solved - unnoticed automation of reverb parameter]

Hi, I'm working on a jazz project and BFD2 is my drummer. I have noticed a problem with my drum track. When the snare played there is a remaining and boucing echo. very annoying and I don't know why I have this problem now as I've been using BFD2 for years without problems. The track can be heard he...

best way to use multiple drums sets in a single tune ?

Hi there, I'm a big fan of BFD2 and I own a series of extensions related to jazz & funk. Now I would like to include different drums sets in a given tune. For instance, my intention is to use snare/hit Hat/cymbals that would be played with brushes during the first part of the track, then switch ...

Hey friends, Thanx for the comments. It's been a while since I didn't come to this forum. Actually, I've set aside my latin repertory. I'm deeply involved in a folk-rock project, with Charlotte, a gifted singer. We have our debut album on the edge of going out(June 2010). I'm in charge of all the mu...
