windows 7

I am wanting to upgrade to windows 7. My biggest problem with CPU heavy programs like BFD2 etc etc is that XP HOME only allocates 1.5 gigs of ram per application.

Does anyone know if windows 7 can handle more ram per app. or just better ram in general?

thank you,

RT

I would be interested in checking out these clones? where do i get a hold of them? and if they are too expensive could you recommend anything in the mid...

oh yeah sorry, i was jst thinking of my own setup where i've got one stereo input on my snare for head and rim only.....

i guess if i had a roland PD-125 for instance, the positional sensing would work.

But sorry for the misread.

thanks,

ya for sure.....i mean u getting the pure direct sound. so for live it shud be way phatter. I have no doubt in my mind if i had a super computer(mac 8-core) jim scott pack/ and a super electro kit ( TD-12/20) and NO latency issues. IT would be the best thing out there in home studio terms. of cos th...

the biggest problem i find with This technology tho , is exactly what u saying in the snares....I can never seem to get that Normal ENERGY that u would get with a real kit. I'm now resorting to recording Real drums and jst overlaying bfd samples on top just to give some bite.....BUT I CAN NEVER get ...

yeah the samples do have a weird thing bout them in superior, its almost like a compression or a Cartoony element. ITS so strange. Which is why BFD has the best idea behind it, its just bout the time to getting it perfect with Edrums technology. Im so keen to try out that jim scott stuff jst waiting...

FOR SURE!.....agreed.....i have seens alot of cheaper Edrum kits used with Superior and it still sounds pretty decent dynamic wize.....But compared to BFD2 i have hardly seen many videos where people are using it clearly in a dynamic way. I think, the only way to truly get a good engine going for BF...

by the way if anyone has problems with HOTSPOTS in their drums, apperently they are adding a algorithm to Etrigger which can balance that problem for you!!!......which is awesome!

The program itself supports PS. It does not support positional sensoring unless your drums AND module have got positional sensoring built in. ( so far that i can see.) If You have got positional sensoring, then this program can be used to further TWEAK and get the best response from them. It seems t...

Hi guys, I have discovered a new software called Etrigger here is link http://www.etrigger.net/index.html I have had alot of trouble with my mesh heads using Alesis trigger i/o, I could barely get fluent rolls in and getting WAY too much retriggering! This software completely lets you mold the raw s...

Jord,

yeah, i too often hear the technology in mixes. its so irritating. especially when u can identify which program u think they used...

(reason, fruity loops, cubase.....abelton, BFD!!!!!_)

i think it gets in the way too much. forces us to use too much of our left brain.
