hi drew as discussed in my earlier posts, this is not the behaviour of an analogue filter. when a filter is wide open it doesn't effect the sound whether it is analogue, digital or modelled. if the developer is talking about the subtleties of passing a signal through an analogue filter - i.e. an ana...

hello drew, thanks for the reply. however i disagree and with all due respect would ask your devs to please check it again. even if it is analog modelled it is still incorrect and means geist is not functioning correctly. for example, on a snare hit, i am using LP4 and have it all the way open (20kh...

drive defaults to 30% so i presumed that was 'no drive' but would be good to know. but there certainly seems to be an error in the LPF layer filters. by the way i have not set any filter cut-off or drive paramenters in the pattern graphs. HPF seems to be unaffected by the problem but its difficult t...

is this a bug in layer filters?

simple example - i've got a snare drum pattern playing, i select the snare pad and go to pad/layer. i turn on the layer filter and by default its low pass 2 LPF2. the cut-off is at max (22500hz) but the filter is still taking the high frequency out of the snare sample? not a little bit either, its t...

Button behavior request

for the mute and solo buttons in the pattern page it would be preferable if they worked like this: to mute or solo several adjacent buttons - click, hold and slide over the other buttons. to unmute or unsolo all buttons - option click a currently muted or solo'd button. this is standard behaviour in...

i'm a big fan of step sequencing, don't like doing beats in a piano roll, however i must say that Maschine has got the best and neatest solution. basically a hybrid piano roll step sequencer that you work in both ways.

ok thanks for the reply, i'll keep my fingers crossed.
not wanting to bloat the software but it adds an extra dimension to drum programming when you've got those tools to hand :)

well done on geist, great bit of software.

geist is brilliant - will it get analog percussion synth too?

have been demoing Geist today and i think it is brilliant. what really stands out is that the developers have got all the features in there in a simple user friendly way. i realise you're always going to get feature requests but one big thing i would like to know - Reason's Kong, motu's BPM and logi...

i agree. it was confusing for about 10 minutes - a standalone demo would have been simpler, you could have had a 'demo song' that opened up rather than having to set up an instrument in logic and work out loading etc. but after that i've hardly had to read the manual and i found myself really enjoyi...
