Orca install error

Postby vaikl » Wed Feb 28, 2007 11:45 am

Hi there!

Tried to install the Win32 VSTi on a Core2Duo but get this error: "Caught vexeption in main function. Cannot continue operation. Error reason: Exception id: 0 Unknown descr: Failed to get the user documents folder"
?????

Have unzipped the whole folder to disk and only started "Install Orca VST Win32.exe". What's this?

Hi Vaikl,

Have you moved or renamed your My Documents folder since installing Windows?

Hi Angus,

no, it's a fresh XP SP2. But it is a german system, the path is "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\kl\Eigene Dateien"

in polish XP:
"C:\Documents and Settings\Studio\Moje dokumenty"

ok. just make new folder "my documents" in your home directory. it's probably safe to delete it after instalation (?? didn't check every possible option) as it stays empty.

:-)

Hi,

I've put a new testversion up:-

If you're running non-English Windows, please try these new ones!
