I am will be (maybe) a new user of BFD2 if I can get the install working...
I find that maybe my recent purchase of used full install 5 disc of legacy BFD2 2.1 w/ SN may not be usable because of authorization issue(s). Is this true? Seller claims has not used it in years and that computer is long gone. What are the details of being able to install used legacy BFD2? Is BFD2 legacy still bound to the authorization rules? I am confused. Did I just throw my $ away? Please help, my brother is going to have my head if I don't figure this out. Leon.

Only just seen this so you may have resolved the issue by now but you shouldn't have any problem installing.
I think the seller has to go through fxpansion to de-authorise his account of something like that but he has to go through the proper licence transfer procedure.
You should contact sales with your serial number and the name of the person you bought it from if the seller won't/cant.
You should contact them via the Roli support page which I have linked here. https://support.roli.com/request/
