A note to Ashley and Vdrummer

I think the above presets should be in with the presets for expansion packs?
If they are just meant to be mixer presets could you say what kits they are for as it makes a big difference.
That fact that vdrummers preset is called, "peart" is a bit of a clue

Thanks Steve. The other thread came after this one I think so I was just reposting/hosting those added here previously and re-requested as my rapidshare account went down.

Happy nu year peepz. I've made a simple preset for raw'n'ruff funk breaks. Just Kick, Snare & a Hat.

Always been a massive fan of Dave A's work with Pearl Jam - and especially the sound he and Nick Di Dia (album engineer) achieved for the Vs and Vitalogy albums.

This is my take on it, using the Masterworks kit as the base, with a piccolo "roomy" snare sound, and eq'd the toms and kick for punch.

Hope you like it. 8)

I just downloaded this but I'm not sure where to put it to make it load. I've tried a few times but I'm a bit confused. Any help is much appreciated - Big PJ fan!

Hmm, I just tried to download it and it just took me to a text file, I'm guessing you got the right file so......

If you're on a windows machine then you can put it in, C:\Program Files (x86)\FXpansion\BFD2\System\Presets"
After doing that you can scan for new files and it should be there in your list of presets

Alternately, unzip it, open BFD2 and click "load preset" then "load from file" which is to the left of the magnifying glass icon,
locate the preset and BFD2 will ask if you want to add it to your database. This will create a copy in the above location.

Hey, thanks heaps. It turns out BFD2 was just having a bit of an off day. I shut down the program and restarted and the kit was there but then would not load, so I rebooted my Mac and everything was sweet! Great snare sound too, that is just killer!

It seems you guys are discussing on sharing kit presets, which is what i am looking for.How & where do i find the kits you are passing around? I dont see them being posted here.I may be missing the links if you are posting it here.Is there a specific link for shared presets like they have on the NI site, here?

If you look back through this thread you'll find lots of user have posted their own home made presets.
This thread is 12 pages and goes back a long time. Unfortunately this means a lot of the links are out of date and don't work.
Last time I checked the first 4 or 5 pages contained dead links.
Another thing to watch out for is that a lot of people have made presets with other expansion kits or a mixture of BFD2 and
other kits kits so they won't load for you if you don't have those kits.

I wish fxpansion would host the presets on here thus keeping them permanently active.

I've been threatening to do this for some time and finally got round to it.
Here's some weird and wacky presets I've conjured up that are heavily effected so be warned

The first one uses some heavy inverse reverb on the snare which sounds like darth vader
and some nice delays on the hats. Reminds me of a Libach track or something.

And another quick one with some nice delay and flanged hats.

Hello two of my presets, basic but it's sounds good to me, only kicks and snares.

( Set dynamic at 0%, or load minimal snare for basic sound)

Re: The Great BFD2 preset/patch collection thread.

REviving an old thread I guess.
I am looking for the metal.zip that was posted earlier on this thread. With only a few little modifications I was extremely happy with that preset. Sadly my hard drive died and the preset was inside and I also have bounced all my drum tracks from those days. I tried to download that file again but it is not available anymore. Is there anyone who has this file or even downloaded all of them that would be nice to upload them somewhere. Or if someone at least could inbox me for the metal.zip file so I could pass him my email?

Thanks

I don't have it and I just checked and see that it was posted by Gareth_FX who hasn't been active on these forums since 2011 so my guess is he no longer works with fxpansion.

Have you tried any recovery software to reclaim old files from your drive? It's quite likely they are still there.

Maybe someone on here will have it for you.

Steve

PS. You could of course try sending Gareth_FX a private message in case he's still getting them but I wouldn't get your hopes up.
