Uninstall fails - "Failed to find the uninstall script"

Postby NPProject » Wed Oct 03, 2018 12:15 pm

Hi there,

I just took advantage of the upgrade offer on BFD 3 from Eco as the pricing is outstanding, thank you.

I decided to uninstall BFD Eco before installing BFD 3 to make some room on my MacBook. I tried to do that through the FX License Manager, deuthorising first (which seemed to work fine) then ticking the box to uninstall. However, a dialog appeared:

Same dialog appears when I try to run /Library/Application Support/FXpansion/BFD Eco/BFD Eco Uninstaller directly.

How do I cleanly uninstall BFD Eco?

macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

Thanks
NPP

I'm pretty sure you can uninstall it manually by just deleting the folder and any associated VST files that will have been installed for your DAWs vst folder.

The program itself is small but if it's the core library you want to remove then just find wherever you installed it and delete it manually
but..you can of course use those BFD Eco kits in BFD3.

It's also possible to have all your BFD Eco presets load in BFD3 as long as you don't delete the BFD Eco core library but you need to have BFD2 to convert them.

I have BFD2 and can convert them if you ask me nicely
