BFD Eco on macbook air without dvd drive ?

Postby hermitcrab » Thu Aug 28, 2014 10:18 am

Hi,

Just bought eco and was told you can download it from the site with the access code provided in the box but it seems the only way to do this is to install the dvd first but i do not have a dvd drive....

Any help is appreciated

Cheers

The only two options I can think of are, A) Buy a DVD drive. They're very cheap and easy to fit.
Or an external usb DVD drive. A bit more expensive but MUCH easier to fit.

Here's a cheap one

http://www.amazon.co.uk/External-Netbook-Notebook-Desktop-Windows/dp/B0042RWWTE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1411039804&sr=8-2&keywords=external+cd+dvd+drive+usb

B) find someone who will let you use theirs and copy the contents of the DVD on to a usb/pen drive (must be over 5GB)
then copy that to your lap top and install from there.
