Postby seige313 » Mon Nov 17, 2014 9:51 am

Hello guys at Fxpansion.

Was wondering is there an update coming soon for Geist? or possible Geist 2? I check the community everyday hoping for an update or something new concerning Geist. Im a HUGE Geist fan and promote it heavy but its in need of an update. Is there anything you can let us know about anything concerning Geist?

Thanks
Fingers crossed for great news!!

This one flew over my head. What does it mean? As an avid Geist fan, I'd like to know.

Being able to run 64 pads with 8 layers.

At least that is what I am going to be dreaming about......

Please. (and a way to label the pads/ preset/ kit would be nice too, just saying)

more layers isn't exactly what we need, are they? 8 layers/pad X 8 engines is way more than most people need. what would be nice is some polishing as to the functionality of the program. off the top of my head:

1)soloed tracks on the pattern window reflect what soloed on the layer/pad mixer windows; easy detection of what's muted and what's soloed without having to flip through every window;
2)more flexibility when it comes to quanitising(not being subjected to the eye-watering SHIFT function drop down to create a more natural feel with triplets or swing; easier ways to explore everything outside the grid.
3)ability to use more than one engine at a time with pattern drag into DAW;
4)independent pattern lengths a la TREMOR.

im a composer and GEIST is my favorite portal into beat-making. if there are ways to achieve any of the above, i'm all ears.

can't wait for the update!!!!!!!

It would be nice if there was a better structure to selecting swing types you've imported.
Minimally a folder-like system,

DMX -
|
50%
.
.
.
91%

MPC3000 -
|
50%
.
.
.
91%
.

Even nicer if you select one of the folders of your swing templates and it would say "DMX" etc (depending on the folder name ) under the swing knob, and then you could change which of the templates in that folder you wanted (i.e. what swing percentage you want).

Yea... and longer pitching ranges!!

guys this is getting ridiculous. Geist is a cutting edge instrument. but there have been so many biters and copycats , its starting to loose its mojo. whats up? come on lets hustle and get this one done.

I just want to be able to slice and layer to more than 16 pads.
Or some type of option for that. 127 would be nice. 64 slices to pads would suffice.
