That would be awesome

I haven't visited here for ages but it's fantastic to see Geist 2 on the way!

The main thing I find annoying about Geist is that it's impossible to 'lock' the pattern view so you can edit a pattern regardless of what the song position is, ie editing a short pattern that contains a fill but you still want to hear a bar or two prior to the fill (and not have the pattern editor flip back and forth). Any idea if we'll be able to do this in G2?

Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the grid guideline lines always assume you're working in a /4 time sig. That's less of an issue though as most of the time I am.

cheers

Great!

I must admit I have drifted away from Geist to Maschine over the past six months or so and this 'pattern locking' thing was a major factor in that. I would love to get back into Geist though as there's much about it that I prefer over Maschine.

One thing that neither Geist nor Maschine seem to be able to do is send MIDI out of the plug-in in Logic. Some people say that the AU spec doesn't allow for this but this must be BS as EZPlayer Pro does it fine and it's a breeze to set up - you just need to drag one cable in the environment.

cheers

Has already asked several times in this thread. End of 2015/Beginning of 2016.
I hope they take as long as they like.

Cheers.

Sorry I keep making requests but I hope they are sensible.

11) FLAC support please. Half my library is taken up by these files, was very surprised it wasn't supported. Windows 10 has just started supporting this native for a reason. Many thanks.

So crazy that CakeAlexS just requested FLAC support. I was literally just logging in to request that you guys support some sort of compressed format. I realize you probably can't support .ncw (native instruments compressed wav), but next best thing would be .caf and .flac! On the mac side, LOTS of files in .caf format here. It would be amazing if Geist could read these!

On another note, Will you support drag and drop of multiple files to several pads at once?

I wonder if the new ui will support a portrait orientated screen?
Might be able to build a sick case for my geist setup.

My MacBook Pro is dedicated to geist these days :D would be dope to case it up.

Is this the best place for feature request BTW?

Will the browsing of samples be mappable?
Some way of switching focus to the browser and jumping around the file section with cursor keys would be great. That way we could use our drum pads and audition samples as we play.

Really?
...and after RTFM
Oh God, thanks! :D I completely missed the midi mapping button and always clicked on mapping to do this, which makes the file stuff inaccessible. This is pretty damn good.
