unable to read License Manager gui

Postby wwgroovecorp » Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:35 pm

I just purchased Etch and when I try to run the License manager, all fields on the GUI are greyed out. This was the case as well on the installer, but I was able to get it installed. I'm running Snow leopard 10.6.8 and logic 9.1.6. I've registered the product on FX's website btw.

Thanks for any help.

When you installed OSX Snow Leopard, did you customize the install in anyway - such as reducing the font set. We've seen this in the past when our installer is unable to find the fonts. You must have one of the following installed:

"Arial",
"Helvetica",
"Monaco",
"Verdana"

Hi Skot,

Thanks for the reply. I looked in my font folder and I have 2 of the 4 you listed. I've never had this happen with any installations. What's my next step?

I downloaded the demo of etch from the website, so I know it's the latest version. Thoughts?

Go here:

[SYSTEM DRIVE]/users/[USERNAME]/library/fonts

Any fonts in there. Move to the desktop. Restart your machine, and now start up the license manager. It should work then. If it does, you can delete those fonts.

Thank you! That solved it. I got it authorized.

Best,

Kurt
