Funny Ride

Postby BFDTM » Sat Nov 24, 2018 10:56 am

Hi,

here is a funny ride effect. Where to change the settings in BFD3 for a normal cymbal behaviour?
I run on 128samples buffer in Samplitude Pro x3.

Computer DSP is at 40%. Disk is 1%. All good.

Probably best to use the official support form for questions like this, as it's the quickest way to get tech support. This sounds to me like either your hard drive is struggling to keep up with the data you're asking it to stream, or your cymbal choke fades are set too low. You can find these in the preferences panel under the 'engine' sub-tab.

You´re a genius Drew_FX. The stream buffer in the engine settings was too low and I brought it back to 16k something.
What is a good way to reduce the CPU demand of BFD3 during composingin a low buffer DAW (128 samples) . I would need full power later on in the Mixing stage. I already use 16 bit Mode for bringing it down a little.

maybe there are some things to consider to reduce the juice
I found some profiles here in the preference pane at the bottom most. I would try "economy detail 16bit" for a moment, I guess.
