Zildjan Vol.1 how to install for BFD3 with 34GB, not 100GB?

Postby Seck » Wed Jul 19, 2017 5:45 pm

Halo,

i have a question. how can i install Zildjan Vol.1 on BFD3 with space of 34GB? Cause i can just select between high quality, medium and low. the high quality is 100GB, the medium 50GB.

I'm pretty sure it's NOT 100GB for the full install as the download is only 14Gb and, according to the FAQ extracts to 37GB.

Of course, if you'd read the install guide you wouldn't be needing to ask the question

http://fxpansion1.com/manuals/pdf/BFD_Expansion_Install_Guide.pdf

When you run the installer you will see an option to choose what size you want to install and there will be a drop down list saying something like, Small, Medium and Large.

Hmm, I suspect this must be an error in the installer since the info on the page clearly states, "37 GB hard drive space for a full install"

I would suggest ignoring the 100GB and installing the full version. If you don't have enough disk space and it actually IS 100GB then the installer will probably quit or not run at all.

i done more place on my hard drive and i istalled Zildjan. The real installed content has 34 GB, not 100GB. But the Audiofiles are in WAV format. but must be in BFDLAC format.

Yes I didn't think it would be 100GB.

If it's 34GB and it's in .WAV format, running the BFDLAC tool will obviously reduce the size even further.
They're in .WAV format because they are 3rd party and not actually made by fxpansion

It doesn't have to be in BFDLAC format for BFD3 to play it though.

Is it listed in your contents folder locations?

Could you post a screen shot of you contents locations in BFD3?

yes the content path is right. After instalation i showed the BFD3 the path and it finded it. Today i open my BFD3 again and it doenst show the Zildjan in library. I removed the Zidldjan and began zu intall. Than i become a window, middle of istallation, that the content is corrupt and the installation must be canceled.

Than i removed all Zildjan content and downloaded it again. the installation was succesfully. but BFD3 doesnt see the library. The path is the same. I think realy a have bugged version.

here the photo of path:
