Jim Scott installation problem

Postby Leoslayer » Thu Jan 12, 2017 11:52 am

Hi all,
I have recently purchased Jimm Scott Drums 1&2 in hardcopy dvd format.
The issue I'm having is that when I try to install disk 1
After 20 minutes it is still on 1℅.
Is it normal for it to take so long?
It's been a while since I had a hardcopy expansion pack to install.
I contacted Rail at Platinum Samples, but he didn't have an answer and hasn't responded to further emails.

You could try copying the content of the disks to your c drive and then running the installer from there.
Do you have any other disks you could try to install from just to test that your cd drive isn't an issue?

I did respond and asked you to check what happens with DVD2 and you said you'd test that and I haven't received any other emails from you...

Let me know.

Thanks,

Rail

Yeah,
tried discs 1&2 of packs 1&2 in three different drives.
Still just hanging at 0 or 1℅
Not a problem I've encountered at any time before.
I'm sure it will turn out to be something simple in the end

And have you tried my suggestion?
If it's a problem with the drive it will probably take a while to copy the data.

Yeah, it has to be a problem with the drive not being happy with the dual-layer DVD's. It's statistically impossible to have more than a single bad DVD in the same set.

I've sent you an email with something to try.

Cheers,

Rail
